Our Community

Every Friday night you will find our committed Jewish community celebrating Shabbat through Rabbinic and lay-led services. To continue our strong sense of community, at least twice a month there is a potluck dinner before services and an oneg after. Saturday mornings a committed group gathers for Torah study and often a short service. On Sundays, our families with children attend religious school in a relaxed environment that fosters a love of Judaism. Once to twice a month, there is Havdalah and Jewish-themed discussion in a member’s home. Our calendar is robust and filled with holiday celebrations including the High Holidays, Sukkot, the annual latke dinner, Purim Carnival, Community Seder, and many other programs.

We are committed to growing our vibrant Jewish community and welcome all who seek to strengthen their Jewish identities through participating with us. As you can see, Judaism is alive and well in Acadiana and has been for the last 150 years.
